Only Slightly More Than 2 Weeks.....
....after the last robbery that took 2 lives near the place i stay.
Last night, i wasn't really surprised when a friend told me he saw a dead body lying on the ground near the Wangsa Maju LRT station. i'm so used of crime stories around here that i am immuned to them. of course, my fear for this place has escalated. but that doesn't really hinder me from skipping class and returning home alone.hehe.
at this point, i would rather encounter a ghost than to bump into an armed robber/rapist.

KUALA LUMPUR: An 18-year-old college student was slashed to death during a robbery in Wangsa Maju here last night.
Lee Khian Yip, a first-year student at Tunku Abdul Rahman College, was on his way home from a food court on Jalan 27/27B when the incident occurred.
The food court is about 100 metres from where he was staying.
He was walking alone back to his flats about 8.30pm when two men on a motorcycle blocked his path.
Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rodzi Ismail said at least one of the robbers was believed to be armed with a parang.
"The victim put up a struggle and was slashed on the head and right hand. The robbers fled with the victim’s wallet."
Rodzi said a patrol car on its rounds found Lee on the ground.
"The victim called his mother in Ipoh to inform her of the incident. The patrol car crew called for an ambulance but Lee died a few minutes later," he said.

the moral of the story is...
never ever stay in flats. such places are more susceptible to crimes.
go for condos, who cares about paying more when your life's at stake?
even condos, equipped with guards, are not THAT safe too, but definitely safer than flats.
